    Looking at buying an Opel Vectra 1.6 2006..........should I go or should I stay.Please give reasons.

    1.6 is a petrol engine afaik. Not a great car.

    Thirsty because you have to work the engine hard to get anywhere. As far as I can remember there are no major issue's with the car. If it's on a Dublin plate chance are it's an ex-fleet car. If that's the case and there are less than 100,000km on the clock - be very suspicious.

    Not great to drive, but if you want something fairly cheap and big to get from A=>B in, then it will do.

    I would look for a Mondeo instead - widely regarded as the benchmark in this sector and far better than the Vectra. In 1.6 form too, I cannot imagine a more mundane way to carry out your motoring, sorry

    If you must have one wait until the new Insignia is launched, this will push prices of the Vectra down even more.

    But to be honest I wouldn't touch one, there are way better cars in this class out there.
