Xbox 360 Live Help

Right, so my ISP is Eircom, and I have this Netopia modem: So anyway, my Xbox live wont/has never worked, and after trying various things to get it working, I've concluded that the modem is at fault. Does this mean I'll need a new modem to get my Live working? Or will Eircom have some kind of solution? Thanks in advance....

A lot of my friends have 360's and cant go on live due to problems, what is it usually? Firewalls?

Most routers you get from ISPs block the ports Live uses by default, so you need to open the port, that and issues with the firewall on the router and NAT.
