looks nice, bound to be better than the viewty, you realise its a smart phone?

Looks great! Been hanging on for a worthy replacement for my great but battered K750i - and this looks like it! (Want to keep SE as I have the HCB-700 car kit)

But since the P1i hasn't even been on offer from any of the operators here - what are the chances of this being offered?? Or more so by Vodafone?

Camera image quality looks very faded and poor from that review.

LOL, just seen this thread. I was handed one of these this morning. I'm going to charge it up and I'll report back tomorrow.

To be fair, a little bit of post processing and the image looks adequate for a snapshot shooter.

I downloaded one of their shots and spend 1 minute on it in Picasa:

Upon closer inspection of the phone I found that the brown one is actually really really really really dark brown. It would pass as more of an off black than brown to be honest.

I had a few mins to play with it this morning and one of the things I like is that I don't have to take the pen out if I don't want. 95% of the functions are usable with just the keys and your finger.

Its noticeably slimmer than the W960i , but doesn't have the 8gb memory. Added memory comes in the form of the M2 cards.

The P1 is offered by o2. Contact an o2 retail store or carphone warehouse and they will get one in for you.

Still have staff discounted tariff with Vodafone - so not easy to leave for O2

I saw some comments about the picture quality at 5mp and it seems this is a limitation
of the camera sensor on the phone is maxed out at 3mp.
This thread on esato is dedicated to G900 camera pics and most of them seem decent when resized.

KTRIC: If you have a chance to check, how quick is it to take pictures ?
Like the time from turning on camera mode, autofocusing and then picture saving to phone?
I read the Viewty is damn fast and that interests me. :)

Expansys.ie has this listed as coming out on 29th June, but for €404.95! :(
Ripoff Ireland, it's going for €300-350 on the mainland.

Also, this USA site has it for $489.98 which works out around €319.35 and the price includes a 2GB M2 card!
I registered and went to the checkout and their delivery charge to Ireland is $29.98 (€19.53), total cost around €338.89.

Actually thats one thing I noticed over my w960i that the camera on the G900 pops up very quickly. It seems to capture the shot and go to ready mode fairly quickly, probably the quickest I've seen from a camera phone.

I'm also surprised at the build quality of this phone and that serious lack of bugs. I've had a huge amount of SE phones in my hands recently and I found myself actually liking this model.

I can't believe SE are actually still selling that phone in Ireland

After the 990, its probably the worst POS they made.

So lads and ladies, who wants a G900 ??

I've used it for the last week and decided I have one too many phones. I've stuck a 2gb chip in this one and its fully boxed etc.

I was going to stick it on adverts but I thought I'd try here first since you are all clearly interested in it.

The only problem is I will have to post it as I'm not in Ireland at the moment.

I'd be very interested but could only offer €200 in my impoverished state.

May as well register my interest anyway.
