Tennis Elbow

    So I'm playing Badminton almost a year now and I've developed Tennis Elbow.

    Now I've had a look at my options one of which is giving up Badminton which is not something I'm willing to consider as this is the first sport I've found that I actually enjoy. Now I know it's something I'll have to live with 'cause you can't get rid of it.

    The Second option is drugs which can be expensive

    The Third option is strenghtening the forearm muscles. Which brings me on to my question does anyone know any good excercise which would do this. I was given Tiger Balm by one of the more experienced players and he swears by it.

    While I play tennis more than badminton I find that a combination of grip size and racket vibration caused my own tennis elbow. Have you looked at trying different grip sizes?

    mmm I think I read someplace about the grip size being a contributing factor. This might be another cheap option I'll definately have to look into it. I do have a tendency to tightly grip the racket, which I've made the conscience effort to stop as it my hand is left in pain.

    If you're overgripping the racket then it's extra effort on your arm and thus your elbow, but of course if the grip is too large then your expending effort just trying to hold onto the racket! Try a few sizes and find one that's comfortable.
