American Visa Info

    Hey all,
I've recently decided to go to New York for 3 months, to visit family and travel a bit. I've gotten a good bit of info from the Dublin Embassy site. But there's still a few things that are unclear. I'd like to work over there to support myself, nothing too major, just to get by. I can't seem to find what kind of Visa I should be applying for. B-1 doesn't cover the work I'll be after, and B-2 won't allow me work, so which Visa would suit best? I've noticed they require financial documents to show you can support yourself, I'm guessing a bank statement would do, but how much would they deem enough? Lastly, they state that they need some kind of documentation to show you intend coming back to the country, what could be used for this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Do you have a loan of any sort?

Nope, credit card payments, but it's not direct debit.

    A return ticket should do.

Op you dont need a visa, you can go there on the visa waiver program for 90 days.
You will not be able to work legally over there its pretty damn impossible to get a green card. Either you win one or a company over there sponsors your application and they have to prove they cant find anyone with your skills who can do the job.

I plan on going for 3 months or so. Basically I have to get a Green Card to work over there? Work as in casual labour, bar work, sales staff etc etc. How about renting, would that require any extra documentation or would a Visa do?

    Thanks for the help

I've deleted quite a few posts from this thread.

Posting about how to by-pass immigration and work illegally is NOT allowed on this forum :)
