    Hi Guys,

Im off to turkey in a couple of weeks, and im wondering whats the best thing to do as regards money.
I visited aib but they told me they do not sell turkish lira as it is a volatile currency, they told me to buy my lira when i get out there or at the airport.

I dont have a credit card, only a mickey mouse laser/maestro which i hope will be of use to me out there if i get stuck, so i was just wondering what you guys would recommend.

Also would i need to bring much spending money- im going all inclusive and other that a bit of shopping and maybe two excursions i intend to be lying around with my feet up.

    Thanks in advance guys:)

Maestro works fine in most ATMs in Turkey.

You'll be charged about €5 per transaction of up to €200 withdrawal.

Turkey is cheap enough. Even if you spend in Euros, which most places allow, you won't be getting ripped off on the Exchange rate. Plus a laser works in the ATMs, so you will have no bothers.

try your local credit union, they definetely do them. Otherwise, you can just change euro when you get there- loads of places in the resort we went to.
