Free to repeat exams in Trinity, you are automatically registered to repeat them as well, so if you fail a subject and it brings you under the passing grade for your course, and you can't compensate or anything, then you're automatically put down to sit them.

If I remember clearly, the basic rule is that you can sit supplemental examinations provided it can be considered that you made a reasonable attempt at your first exams. I THINK the wording was something similar to that. If you have a look at your department webpage, they should have a link to the calendar for that course. It will have details to the exact information about it, but generally provided you tried your exams you won't have a problem. (unless you're in 3rd year physics, where you cant do repeats).

    Hope that helps.

Hey, I just had a really horrible exam today and will need to repeat it. Does anyone know anyone who can help me with first year linear algebra this summer? It would be great if I could understand the course by September. Also, how important is linear algebra to future years in tp? Thanks

I'm looking for first year linear algebra grinds over the summer because I failed the exam. Can anyone help me? Also how much would they cost? Are the repeats normally much easier than the summer exams?

OP: It is worth noting that while you are registered automatically for repeats and don't have to pay anything, you won't be provided with any information anywhere as to when/where your exams are. You'll need to go and look up that info in college.

I wouldn't worry about it man. I'm in the exact same boat (except in maths instead of tp) and I don't believe he'll be able to fail half the class again and not get laughed out of the country.
