What's the handiest way to power five case fans (Aside from Mobo headers)

Is there anything like a multi cable to connect to one connector on the power supply? or even a distribution block?

    No, not looking for controllers.

Just looking at the handiest way to power 5 fans without going through the Mobo headers or using too many PSU connectors :)

    That looks interesting,

So, do you just use one Molex connector from the PSU to power it?

Do you know what the second Molex connector is for?

Here's another board but it's confusing me :D
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Desktop-PC-Multi-Fan-Power-Plug-Extension-Control-Board_W0QQitemZ180247520385QQihZ008QQcategoryZ3673QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

What's with all the different voltages?

    I'm looking to power 5 X 12v fans

It appears to have 10 X 3 pin connectors

    6 X 4 pin Molex

    1 X 4 pin Molex power source.

    Description:

    Multi Fan Power Control Board
    Multi fan control board

    Add an extra 12V, 10V, 8V, 6V,5V x 3 pins fan power connectors

    Allows an extra 8V, 10V and 12V x 4 pins power connectors

Adhesive panel allows easy fixing to a back plate

Mounting with standard casing back panel

    Attractive Blue Color Backlight

Do must boards these days come with 3 X 3 pin Fan headers or does it vary much between manufactures?

The one from maplins should do the job. I would assume the 2 molex connectors are for when your using all 12 fans. If your confused then just buy the maplins one, it will do what you want.

For the amount of headers on a board it really depends.....generally the higher spec and more expesive the board is, the more headers you get.

Also the majority of fans come with a molex connector/converter for each fan so you can daisy chain them all together.
