Does anyone have any rough ideas of how much installation of a Sky+ box (I have the dish) would be from a Third party Sky retailer, if they even would do this?

Do you need the Quad LNB and cabling installed too, or is that already present?

Most would do it no bother.

Yeah i would need all that and I was hoping they would put the wires through another room so I could hook up the current Sky box in that room or a FreeSat box.

Would it be hard to install a LNB? What is the worst thing that could happen by doing it yourself?

It should'nt be too difficult, maybe falling from the ladder.

So I can't mess up the signal or loose the quality of the picture? Also, would a quad LNB do for 2 Twin tuner PVRs, like Sky+ and a FreeSat PVR?

    Yep, quad = 4 outputs for 4 tuners .
You may need a slight tweak to the dish to compensate for extra weight of quad and cables. You should not loise the signal however, unless your dish is poorly aligned already. Take care removing the old LNB so as not to strain/ move the dish.

Cheers. Is there any news on when the the FreeSat PVR is coming out? Would the PVR record in HD from BBC HD and ITV HD?

While the spec or price or launch date is not announced the PVR will almost certainly be able to record BBC HD,ITV HD and CH4 HD...that will be its major selling point

launch date is rumored to be early August with a price of 299GBP

But if you record something in HD and when you play it back, will it be in HD? Is the £299 price official?
