How would you like your new moderator to abuse his power?

As you may know, one of the prizes in DJ Spider's karaoke raffle was to be made mod of any forum for a day. Now I thought long and hard (for a Brother, that is, i.e. 3 minutes) about which forum I'd like to mod. I even toyed with the idea of throwing it out to the Brothers and Brotherettes in the form of a poll to see where I'd get, but I reckoned I'd end up with Korean or Arts & Crafts. Or worse, TLL!

In the end I made the obvious choice and I'll be a guest mod of BGRH for a day whenever Vex sets it up. If nothing else it'll give me a chance to find out what Brothers Tom and trout have been saying behind my back. So given that I'll soon be wielding this unimaginable power, how would you like me to abuse it? I can't guarantee that all requests will be granted, but I'll do my best.

BTW, my first abuse of power will be to reinstate this thread after Brother Tom deletes it.

Well I'll be able to do all the usual modly things I'd imagine, like banning/unbanning, mucking about with editing posts, stickying threads, etc. Not sure after that what else I'll be able to do, it'll all be trial and error.

I don't think I can edit sigs, but I like the thread idea. It seems to have worked well for Amp over the years.

Well now we know who wear the trousers in that house.

And just as I was about to post my feedback thread and all. I think I'd struck just the right balance between being one of the downtrodden masses who was being persecuted by the mod conspiracy and outrageous indignation which would result in me taking legal action against the BGRH mods for denying me the freedom of speech. Shame no-one will ever get to see it now, it could have been a template for Fite Da Powah threads for years to come.

BGRH is a fine place to mod because most of the time people behave themselves, mod somewhere interesting like AH where you will be kept busy

A H2G2 forum would have been great, never thought of that. I probably would have approved the Time Machine forum had I won that prize. As for banning beer and sambos, now that's just crazy talk!

Mod forum would be great, but I could see myself getting banned from everywhere straight after! Feedback have might been another good one, but probably more trouble than its worth as some people just wouldn't see the funny side. There is no way in the world I would go near PI, although being able to see all the threads that didn't get past pre-moderation might have been interesting. I'd end up getting banned from AH myself because I don't think I could take all the muppetry that goes on there. Soccer was one I considered, just because people seem to be easily wound up there, and becoming the first male mod of TLL had its merits, if only to ruffle a few feathers. In the end though it's only a one day job, so I wanted something that might be a bit more fun, and where better than here?

Mod for a day with the caveat that, if you engage in any behaviour unsuited to the role, such as ban rampages etc., you will find your time curtailed, and a one month siteban will be issued.
