Died today (well, June 1st). Didnt really know much about him other than the label - reading his obituary though, the guy literally helped change the way women dress in the western world. Creditted with empowering women no less! RIP. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7430487.stm

Serious bit out of the way, anyone who makes a squillion quid out of designing clothes and working with supermodels deserves a thread upon death!!!

    Thank fuck.

Maybe women will take their heads out of their collective arses and stop being such stuckup-fashion bent bitches for the rest of eternity.

    Thumbs up.

Oh god. We're showing Sex and the City in the cinema I work in. Most women are dressing up to the nines. And pretending like they're D4-wannabes.

Better to be wearing Yves Saint Laurent than Versace.

    Mike.

    What? Like one of these?

Can't imagine it'd be very comfortable.

Not all his stuff was classy! Versace was fairly vulgar though.

Terry Keane and yves saint Laurent both gone in one cruel swoop.

There should be a candle lit vigil at BT’s for the D4 / Sindo brigade.
    ( candles €59.95)

Did nice stuff, a little bit sailor-esque for my tastes as a dude. ;)

Still, he was famous for being talented, and made pots of money doing it, so fair play to him. Best way to live your life.

Actually dressing up in dresses and stuff?

Tis hilarious. Dressing like they are about to shoot a 14 page spread for Vogue and then going to sit in the dark for two hours before drinking in the NYC like venues of the suburbs of Dublin.

Id say its funnier in the more bogger like counties.

I have a new found desire to go see Sex and the City!

My sister just found out that Yves Saint Laurent was a he. Her question? "When did he get the sex change?"

I was in cineworld recently and that's so true. It would be equivalent to dressing up in camouflage to go see rambo. It was embarrassing just to look at.

:D Could be worse, some thought Alice Cooper was a she until they actually saw him.

    Mike.
