    Hey there,

My brother and I are planning to do a motorbike trip around Ireland, and we wanted to know about good spot to see, that would not be in tour guide.

We are planning to take a week and preferably to take roads along the coast line, but we are flexible in our travel.

Would be great if we could get some ideas on possible routes through the country

    Cheers Dom

Maybe go through the Wicklow mountains for the first day and then head towards West Cork and onwards to Killarney, Co.Kerry and ride the Ring of Kerry. Its a loop circuit which is about 110 miles long and quite hilly in parts- you could spread it out over 2 days. From there spend another couple of days on the Dingle Peninsula which also has beautiful scenery and lovely little pubs with live music at night. If you get good weather there's not many places in Ireland that beat it.

I think if you basically stick to the coast the whole way round the country there would be lots to see. Donegal coastal areas are really nice. So is the area in Northern Ireland around Portrush, then on to the Giants Causeway. From there you can head towards North County Down, areas like Bangor and Portaferry, Strangford, Newcastle, Kilkeel, Rostrevor, Carlingford, Cooley Mountains. Then to head towards Dublin you would be in the area of Newgrange, which is a really nice tourist attraction and is well worth visiting.
