Venture Brothers is back! (season 3 episode 1 today )

AWESOME!


In a sheer stroke of genius episode 1 of the new venture brothers season is completely Monarch focused

using much the same technique as the opening to season 2, it features a monarch themed opening and the venture brothers are not seen at all, much how season 2 was focused on venture and orpheus.

I like the new characters

killer dwarves always rock

but lots of henchmen love too which is always good.


I love this series! Bring on episode 2!

I just watched it there now.

Fantastic stuff as usual.

I loved the Council of 13.

Lots of big revelations too... The Monarch was responsible for Baron Underbites disfiguration... And how cool did collage era Monarch look?

Also Doctor Venture Senior's death was alluded to as well... maybe we'll learn more about that as the series goes on.

oooh episode 3 brings alot of new things to the table (not to mention hunter is back which is awesome)

the origin of phantom limb and finally linking quizboy billy with the main plot are two interesting plot points

That was pretty much how the Monarch said how Phantom Limb got his powers, wasn't it?

I thought this was the best episode so far this season.... So many great bits in it.

Loved the GI-JOE piss take and you've got to have a lot of respect for 'The Nozzle'

If you love the garage sale episode and the one where dr orpheus gets a villian then this one is an excellent continuation of the same themes.

its also a brilliant Brocke episode.

though I must admit the moppets are quickly becoming my new favourite characters

actually most of the best characters make an appearance in this one, including the pirate.


also this one has a great johnny quest nod.

So far so good, I hope the rest of the episodes this series are as good. So far, episodes 2, 3 and 5 are nothing but pure weapons grade win.

I dunno the lesbian hitting on brock was f*cking hilarious and the flashback had the gay sean connery in it which is always awesome.


But seriously how f*cked up is Dr venture's childhood, his dad has screwed him over (or over him) so many times.

also lots of self pissing at the bit with the tissues, its little things like that, that make the show so awesome.

though the firestarter gag was fantastic and the order of the triad is always worth a chuckle.

Good to see him back. I wonder if phantom limb will be making a big comeback? I think the murderous moppets will probably have a big part to play at the end of the series.

I must admit... I did like Brainulo.

But Dr. Fangdragon from Japananawa was pretty fantastic too.

episode 10 is the monarch and his henchmen at their very best.

I thought the red shirt gags were good but I was hoping for more of a bigger conclusion (like Brock shoving someones arm up their own arse again)


The pirate character has really got some serious development done on him over the last two episodes, wonder if its going to be a major plotpoint in the finale.

ok i'm almost done with season one, and season two is being lined up. i refuse to watch season 3 until then. I love this show, the writing is so clever. but i'm inclined to think the brothers themselves are the weakest characters??


is it wrong to think dr girlfriend is hot???

Episode 13 was the last one to be aired. Not sure when it will be back with season 4... but it's already well into production, so hopefully not too long.

Can't wait for my Venture Industries T-shirt to arrive. I love my Order of the Triad one.

Interesting the differences from s3 to s1 (that's the order I've been watching), the voices and animation are fairly different - especially Dr. Girlfriend, The Monarch and Brock Sampson.
