I've been away from Boards.ie for a while, taking a break so I was! Then I came across this when googling just about everything!! On the bright side, it pulled me back into Boards.. on the bad side, it annoyed me!! Slightly unfair article wouldn't you agree?!

I sense/feel/see whatever quiet a lot but I would never ever use it to cause harm to anybody. This article labelled everybody who believe in or experiences paranormal occurances to be money-hungry and insensitive. Just ranting here really, thought it was a little harsh!

First off it's only an opinion piece and secondly then say why he's wrong!!! Just post it in the sceptics corner so I don't get into trouble!!!

seemed like a fair piece to me

I wouldnt say its a fair piece. If anybody gets into the Paranormal field i would say 70% of those people actually loose more money then make it. Those odds could actually be higher.

But it then seems if somebody does recieve money they are then ridiculed for doing so.

Yup, saw that article ages ago too. It is just comment and if youre going to get annoyed by the attitude of people who question psychic ability youre going to spend a large percentage of your life being annoyed.

Used car salesmen get bad press. As do travellers/car boot sales/eBay and so many other things. Yes, to write such an article is maybe lazy journalism, in that it was poorly researched with a few handy internet facts to make his case. But it was just an easy read for the majority out there who look on psychic ability in the way the author does.

And I agree with him when it comes to Irish Psychics Live.:) The only way anyone who practices or trades on a psychic ability will improve how the group as a whole is perceived, is to work better and more responsibly, instead of crying foul when the cheap and fraudulent aspects are held up to scrutiny.
