I finally got around to taking my first time lapse yesterday evening, it's nothing spectacular and I was just wondering if I'm at least on the right track.

    Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

Pretty cool, i must try this out myself some time. This is using multiple exposures from a camera?

I just used a normal digital camera and GBTimelapse.

Hopefully, there will be some decent convection over the comming months to capture. :)

I've developed an app for doing timelapse on your mobile. Check out http://joegaffey.com/blog/?page_id=21
You'll need to have a handset that allows you to access the camera from Java. It works well on my k810i but I haven't tested it on any other phones. Leave some feedback if you try it.

I like it, really nice quality there, love the clouds trying to build over and over

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

    nice timelapse.. very smooth.

have tried this with a camcorder, and the options dont really suit weather. (think the most frequent option is 1/2 a second 30 seconds)
But have got some nice results all the same.. just not as smooth.
May try the single frame option, but would mean I have to do it manually, and over a 2 hours period (see the last one) would be nightmare to be consistant. think the last one runs at about 2 mins on the tape.. and is sped up to 20 seconds.

much perfer the next one to the last one.. love the splash of rain at the end.

and definitley the best one.. , watch for the clouds at different levels moving in different directions.

Love that last one bealbocht, I've been tempted to drag my kit down to the sea front and attempt something similar myself. There might be a better chance of it during winter as I won't have to get up so early! :p

You can see some more of mine here, I usually shoot one everyday except when there is gray nothingness, like the past few weeks!
