Steam Mops - Good or Gimmick?

Just saw an ad for a steam mop in a flyer today.

It sounds good, and I was wondering if anybody has one and what you think of them.

I don't want another dud appliance taking up space in the shed

    Thanks

    Milmo

guess it all depends on if you plan to use it or not.

the facts about the mops are true - the steam is brilliant at cleaning - second to none. The main drawbacks I see are the cloth covers that fit over the end of the mop - to ensure you are cleaning the floor and not rubbing dirt in you would need to wash these head covers very very regularly.

I have used a steam cleaner myself and found them to be very good - I am however just a bit lazy and find it easier to open a pack of throwaway parazone wipes and use them instead. - I only use the steam clean when I am doing a 'proper' clean
