    got quake wars today, and shock horror, it doesnt work properly online

    the same crap as always with new games, you cant get into any rooms or even set up your own game

    how do these bloody games get through testing

    It's because of Sony's free Network. I'm sure it was tested and worked fine in a closed local network that the devs had to test it on.

    Thats partly why MS charge a €60 yearly fee to play online and even then you are not 100% sure you will get an online match with a new release.

    You really need to give PS3 new releases about a week to get the online set up.

    it seems i can actually get into games today, this was unexpected!

    aside from the chronic lag issues (which i assume can be fixed with an update, or even more optimistically, may just be down to someone in the group i was playing with having a rubbish connection), this game is bloody good fun
