Timing out frequently

    Current set up:

    GreenJokerPoker
PT3 (with built in HUD I think?)
    Multi-tabling (4 tables)
    No itunes running
    No MSN messenger open
    Just poker running

I've encountered a number of hands that have timed out and I cannot understand why. I've tried asking support (PPP support btw) but the one time they got back to me they just suggested I delete my temp internet files. Anyone else experience this?

I can now understand how annoying this is. Playing on carlos for the last while with no problems. Got a wireless router for my apartment on thursday and set it up. Needless to say i timed out 4 times in the next hour and a half, closing all my tables. So annoying!!! I have to asume it is the wireless router as i never had problems before!! Anyone else ever hear of this happening?

    hi dirk,

In case you don't understand some of what is going on in this thread,

PPP are part of a poker network called iPoker -- in other words you might be playing with customers from other sites on the same network. This network is famous mainly for putting no investment whatsoever into its software. If you ask Paddy Power they will insist that the problem is at your end, or if you prove that is not the case they will say it is iPoker's fault and out of their hands. Asking you to "delete your temp internet files" is a big joke going on among PPP support staff at the moment, there will be a new fix next week like "install anti-spyware softer", "reset your DSL router", "reformat your hard drive", "remove your RAM and soak it in vinegar for 15 minutes". In other words they can't help you but they will tell you something to get rid of you.

Whatever you do you will have computer problems with iPoker. I recommend you try a different network.

Cheers for that RT, I thought the problem was that he was playing on green joker and going to ppp for customer support.

GJP haven't responded to me (I've clicked on support about 5 or 6 times now...once they got back to me and I then asked my question, but did they give me an answer? Nah).
