I want to do some gigs at 3200 or 6400, but the fastest film I can find in shops is 1600

so if i shoot with 1600 at 3200 or 6400, is there anywhere in dublin that can process it properly?

    is it expensive?

anyone here any experience with the push/pull technique?

    thanks in advance!

yikes, my advice would be to shoot B&W, neopan or delta 3200. The fastest colour film I've ever used was fuji superia/natura 1600 and its pretty appalling. I certainly wouldn't want to push it any further. The best fast film I've used was Kodaks portra 800 which I've shot at 1600, still looked better than the fuji films, but again, I wouldn't want to push it to 3200 or more.

Does the 3200 B&W film work well pushed to 6400? Whats its true ISO? [I havent found anything over 1600]

Where could I get them processed???

neopan 1600 works at 3200, but it isn't great

delta 3200 looks good to me at anything up to 3200.

i'm *much* less picky about grain than most people, it doesn't bother me much.

and unless you're shooting in fibbers or something with really dire lights, or lack thereof, you should be fine with 1600 i reckon.

how do you push it up?

expose it at the speed you want it at, and then develop it at the speed you exposed it at, which means more time in the developer for pushing, and less time in the dev. for pulling.

i dunno now, unless your down to 1.8 i find dorans a bit of a struggle, even ambassador can be nasty id stuck with reds, the shorter shutter seems to curb their evil skin toning

I dno if i can mention the venue but its a BIG one!! [woooo]

I called Camera Exchange and they sell 3200 B&W, and can develop it if pushed. Ill still be shootin in digital aswell up to 1600

    1600 ISO - 3200 ISO is only one F stop !

    1600 - 6400 is only 2 F stops underexposed !

so if you were to develop that film @ home. + 30% in developing time for each stop you want to 'push' the film.
