Can anyone recommend any male grooming products. I'm talking about basics like razors, after shave, deodorants etc. I'm happy enough with everything I use except my hair gel. Can't find any that doesn't just f@ck up the hair after a while. Any suggestions??

I'm a girl so can't talk from personal experience :p but my boyfriend will only use Brylcreem gel, the one with 3 dots on the end, he goes mad if i buy anything else. Very vague I know, but not the extreme hold one and not the wet look one.

King of Shaves for shaving oils and shaving gel. Available in Boots or Tesco.

Clinique for skin care, especially their post shave cooling balm or healing balm.

Razor from Gillette Fusion range - great shave but blades blunt quickly.

Boots Botanics for Men - facial scrub and shaving gel.

    soap.

    failing that it's this.

old spice shower gel, brother brought this back from america and left it here (it's nearly empty :(), it smells so good.
king of shaves gel with aloe vera and tea tree oil.
    hacketts of london deodrant
gillette fusion, i can't remember how i done them niggly bits without that precision blade on the back of the razor head.
don't really use anything else, it's enough any more and i'd be turning into a woman.

Gilette fusion razor - Baldes are dear but cheap ones can be got on ebay
Yen ka shaving cream - Dunno how much but its worth whatever the price, no more razor burn!
adidas deodrant, the bright blue one. It smells absolutely delicious.

I think thats it, except for after shave, but i just get whatever smells nice, usually hugo boss.

Blue Dax mixed with strongest brylcream from the tube!
    Facial Scrub
    John Paul Gaultier Aftershave
    Gillete Aftershave balm
    Lynx Africa
Lynx Shower Gel, the one with the bits in it!

Proraso shave gel also use their skin soother and soap. They also do a great menthol and eucalyptus range.

Wilkinson Sword Quattro (a lot better than Mach 3 or fusion)

    Clinique toner and mosturiser

As for shower gel I generally use one an original source one, but chop and change between the range.

Aftershave at the moment is Prada but with summer here I'm starting to wear Clinique Happy again

I use mainly Clarins stuff for my face wash and moisturiser
Fusion - I am very hairy after a day and always gives me a clean shave
    Deodorant - Nivea Aqua cool
Aftershave - way too many to list

All those Mach 3 and quattro 10 blade systems are a load of b0ll0x!

Marketing hype to get people to buy the extortionate cartridges. In fact it gives a worse shave than a single blade because the idea is the first blade thugs at the hair and then the others slice it which can be very irritating to the skin.

Pick up one of these fellas http://www.classicshaving.com/catalog/item/522941/284046.htm top quality, you can get brilliant blades for it (from gilette, wilkinson sword, feather etc.) that cost little or nothing and once you get the hang of it you get a better shave than you every would with you 10 blade shaving "system".

Add to that some proraso shave cream which can be got at nights barbers in the green and your set.

As for deoderant, whatever as long as its anti-persperant.

Have to agree regarding the shaving stuff, this place will not be beat in my opinion

    http://www.trumpers.com/
    http://www.trumpers.com/product_detail.cfm?ProductID=111547251
http://www.trumpers.com/shaving_tips.cfm Should read this, its well worth it :D:D

The stuff lasts forever, I have a soap and bowl that I have been using since christmas and not even a dent in it, and it makes shaving much easier too. If you are being just logical about it its cheaper in the long run,

That looks pretty cool... but complicated though, i'd probably remove half of my face using one of those.

Practice shaving balloons until you can do it perfectly without haveing to think about it. Thats how apprentice's train on cut throat razors.

If I remember correctly Knights used to ovver training course's in shaving, give them a shout.

Also love shaving in the gym, straight after spending 15 minutes in the steam room. Beautiful!!!
(As for anyone who actually shaves in the steam room, it's disgusting- don't do it.)

Clinique dramatically different moisturising lotion after patting my face dry after a shower - purchased at strawberrynet.com. Gillette Mach 3 Turbo in the shower, after the stubble has been softened by the hot steamy air, and the application of some Gillette nitro shaving cream - blades bought online at Jazzano.com. I dont shop locally for anything in this country anymore if avoidable - as it has to be the most overpriced country in teh world by this stage. Coffee is cheaper on the champs elysses (its late, so excuse misspellings), as pointed out in a recent book about the ridiculous prices in Dublin.

The following work very well for me.

Merkur HD razor with Isreali Persona blades for normal day to day use, Japanese Feather blades when I want a really close shave.
Shaving creams from Taylors of Old Bond Street, and Castle Forbes, the later is expensive, and the quality of the lather I find is very dependant on the hardness of the water.
After Shave Balms from Nivea and Taylor of Old Bond Street.
Cleanser and Scrub from Clean and Clear, Toner and moisturiser from Nivea.
I'm another advocate of Original Source Shower Gels.
