    Hi,

    I have looked through the sticky threads above and I can't find anything answering this (if there is, sorry!). I am pretty useless when it comes to all this stuff, so please excuse my ignorance!

    I am buying a new computer from Dell and there is the option for one of these tuner cards. What I want to know is whether or not it would pick up any channels off a cable from a satellite dish? I know it says analogue and digital, but I just don't want to spend the money on the card and then have no use of it!!! Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cheers for that - I don't think I will bother with the dell one. I can't get enough info on it and it costs almost €100 extra to get it.

    The Dell tuner is for TV aerial only. For UK. Will NOT work on LNB/Dish.

    The Komplett one will do satellite, but I'd go for a Technotrend etc. The Avermedia ones are rebrands.
