Keep an eye on your cars lads and lassies, Blue Transit type van, 97-D-17626 (i think), 3 travellers posing as breakers. Just broke into my old car, small back right window smashed, locks both sides busted and took the stereo. I'd say the car would be gone if i didn't interrupt them.

Pretended to be working for a breaking company, which i have found to be legit, but these fellows don't work for them. The company was Car Style Motors Ltd, who are grand, but be warey of travellers pretending to be them. Car Style Motors are in no way involved.

Just keep an eye out. I know for a fact it was them because i was out at the car about half an hour before it happened and it was fine. The van was parked covering anyone from seeing the car, and the minute i came outside they approached me. Big guilty heads on them. 3 travellers, two wearing illuminous jackets.

And to top it off, the tv licence man called... Good thing i'm only after moving in...

I assume you called the Gardai and reported it?

Thanks for the heads up. :)

Car Style are real so they are now being linked to a criminal act. May I suggest some editing?

I reported it indeed. A known van apparently, so their eyes are keeping a lookout.

thanks for the post.Good to see people being comunity aware and warning peopleabout stuff like this happening.I'm sorry about what happened to ya but fair play for actually doing something about it.Too many people now adays just take things like this as the norm and fall into the old "whats the point in reporting it cause nothing will come of it". At least you've warned people about it and are being proactive.Think we should all follow your example if we are unfortunate to be victims of crime.

depends on the crime if you ask me, if its gonna bring a load of d1ckheads giving you hassle over something minor, it aint worth it

Well, i was just at the station there, they stopped the van and they voluntarily came back. I went in, and said that yes, it was them, but that the CD player they had wasn't mine. Then they had a go at me for getting the Guards after them... ****ing pricks. The Gardai then told me that one of them was selling a stereo this morning from his house, and it was the same make as the one i had... Not much good that now.
