Did anyone watch this last night? What's the story with all the ads? I know it's a US show and they take 15 ad breaks in an hour long show, but why do TV3 have to do the same?

The show is structured so there is some sort of confrontation, fight or revelation just before each ad break. I think it would be hard to break out of that format....

Not necessarily, just because the show was structured to break every 5 minutes doesn't mean that TV3 actually have to take the break. There'd be a half second pause every now and again, but surely this is better than an an ad break.

TV3 are well within their rights to do this. I suggest you record it and fast forward the ads. Which series are TV3 showing? Is it the current one in the United States?

Yep, Season 4. I definitely think the chefs are weaker this time around... I wouldn't pick any of them to run a restaurant.

I was lol'ing throughout the episode. Ramsey's a funny man, and his swearing is first class.

Watching it at American pace and Jen is one annoying tramp. She will never STFU

I know they're within their rights, it's just annoying. They all seem pretty crap alright, I thought The General/black Gordon Ramsey, whatever his name is should have gone last night, he's such a fake.

Episode 10 will be airing in the US next Tuesday so it's fairly behind over here. It gets pretty good though.

you definitely don't sign up for the show if you're in any way sensitive ... he called one young fellas' hair-style a "toilet sweeper" :)

The breaks were bloody annoying alright. The opening credits rolled, they had a minute or two of the show, and a break.

But the show is great. Gordon Ramsey is hilarious sometimes. I don't understand how they didn't know it was him on the bus at the start. It looked exactly like him.

It did look like him a little and the fact that he was at the front of the bus the entire time and never spoke to them but kept looking back at them...surely they must have been suss

I love this show, on episode 9 myself, it's good, but not as good as the previous season I think. I don't like any of the contestants, whereas in previous series (particularly the last one) there were a couple of really stand out ones for me. They're also shooting series five back to back with this one, so we know we're good for next year, we just have to avoid all media to miss the winner !!

If you like this, look out for Kitchen Nightmares USA. More great stuff !

Is it as good watching a show with beeps all the time?

Doesn't bother me at all. I watch most stuff at US pace so it's the norm. No ads though that's a huge bonus

I've seen a few episodes on Channel 4, very good alright. I'd love to be there when the particiapants see the show being played back, they must feel like right dicks!
