not sure where you are living, but there are various combatives, rbsd and krav maga guys on the boards here, and if you are looking to actually learn anything you might be better off taking some classes with them, rather than trying to learn from books.

Thanks man,I'm not looking for classes at the moment.Just have a bit of a curiousity to know what techniques these guys use and how practical they are.I think i'll have to check out chapters or eason's later in the week for the heck of it

i'm neither interested nor knowledgsble about military training or self defence, so I don't know if these are any good, but here's a couple of links i came across

    http://www.spetsnaz-gru.com/spetsnaz-hand-to-hand-combat.htm

    http://combatapplicationtechniques.weebly.com/index.html

and if you google "military hand to hand combat pdf", you'll get some torrents to download said pdf file

hope this sates your appetite a little

This is the sort of info i'm after below, pictures showing how to hit someone and where(in the bottom half of this link)

    http://www.scribd.com/doc/8925/Pressure-Points-Military-HandtoHand-Combat-Guide

Have a look on YouTube and do a search for 'Modern Army Combatives', 'Matt Larsen' and 'MCMAP'.

"secets of the sas" or some title along those lines is a good all round book on how the special forces operate. cant remember if it has specific hand to hand instructios as i havent read it in a while but its a good all round book if youve an interest in survival techniques and special forces in general

    These would be the best.

    "All-In Fighting (1942)" - W.E. Fairbairn
    "Defendu (1926)"- W.E. Fairbairn
    "Scientific Self-Defence" - a slightly modified reprint of Defendu (1931) - W.E. Fairbairn
    "Shooting to Live (1942)" - W.E. Fairbairn/Capt. E. A. Sykes
    "Get Tough" - W.E. Fairbairn
"Kill or get killed" by - Colonel Rex Applegate.

I know, it's bizarre! Maybe that's why he was so angry and became a killin' machine. :)
