Does anybody know if a car owners club need their own public liability if attending a show like Mosney/Durrow etc. if they want to put up their own flag poles/bunting/gazebo etc.?
Maybe somebody from some owners club who do this could answer this or tell me what they do as i've been trying to find out for some time now with no success:confused:

    Cheers!

I think owners clubs do if everything was being done to the letter, check with the irish vintage society, i think they have some sort of policy on public liability if the members of the owners club are members with them also.

It turns out the policy is a UK one, set up by the directors in the UK, and they were able to extend it to cover events in Europe/Ireland.

Hmmm.....that would make a bit more sense alright. Does anybody know whether the actual show's insurance should cover this? I would have thought so:confused:

so long as you have paid in and registered to be on the site, thecar show takes the liability - mosney/terenure etc you are covered.

If you organise your own event, then you need your own insurance.
