    Hey Girls and Guys,

I've been with my girlfriend now for three and a half years and I can't imagine being with anyone else. She's from Poland and we are going to Prague for a few days in July followed by about 11 days in Poland. We've been to Poland many times but she's really excited about getting to see Prague.

I thought this would be as good an occasions as any to propose to her so I think I'm going to do just that. I plan on buying her a ring which isn't an engagement ring so she can choose that at a later date.

What do the ladies her in particular think? Is there somewhere scenic I should go in Prague. Should I do it over dinner or when we're alone somewhere romantic? All guidelines and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks Mike. Well it's about time for us I guess. I've never been to Prague myself but friends who have tell me it's beautiful.

    Good on you man!! :D
My fiancee recently proposed to me on holidays, which was perfect for me, as it meant we had a few days to ourselves just to enjoy being engaged! Unbeknownst to be, he had a ring bought and carried it with him when we were out and about on holidays, so that when he came across the time and place that was right, he just proposed. He didnt have a particular place/view in mind, so that maybe took a bit of pressure off!! I was in Prague years ago, sorry I cant remember enough about it to suggest places to propose. I do remember that I was only there for 2 nights, which was loads of time to see it, so you could even have a look around for possible locations on your first day or 2 of sight-seeing and then return to a place to propose. I would definitely go for romantic setting, just the 2 of ye, but thats just me....I would hate to be asked in the middle of a busy restaurant with everyone looking! But thats really a personal choice and you probably have an idea of which your girlfriend would prefer. Whichever you choose, she will probably be so delighted and surprised anyway that it will be a perfect memory for her. Good luck ;)!!

Yayyyy,,,think really hard about where she would love to be. I know if my fella suddenly got down on one knee in a restaurant or somewhere public I would be absolutely mortified,,somewhere quiet, secluded with a couple of bottles of bubbly:)

I'm just home from Prague, it really is a beautiful city. I would suggest waiting until the evening time when all the buildings are lit up and the city is a bit quieter and there is a very romantic feel about the place. Choosing to pop the question while your away is a very good idea as it does give both of you some time to just enjoy those first few days of being engaged. My OH did when we were away and I really needed those few days to get my head around things.
