    Will this play american dvds? Just to edit the title its actually a sony rdr-gx350b player! I was reading the specs on it and it says its not multi region but says something about NTSC??

    Just bought this aswell. It is only a Region 2 player so unfortunately you will have to see about getting it hacked. I think Peats do a service for €30. Otherwise you can trawl the net looking for a Multi-region hack specific to this unit. I have yet to find one.

    Just to update. I bought a new remote on eBay which will make the unit Region Free (allegedly). They say that once you use it the once it is good to go and you won't need the remote again, that ytou can just use your normal one. Will more than likely be selling it on as I will have no need for it afterwards if it works. It is able to unlock 8 different units maximum, or so they say.

    Remote arrived today. Worked fine. Now have the unit Region Free. :D

    Sorry schmegeggin, I only saw this post now. I'm rarely in this forum anymore.

    I do have the remote still, and hopefully still have the instruction leaflet that came with it.

    You in need of it for unlocking?

    yes i need it to unlock it please, i think the instructions are on the net if you cannot locate them, so if it was possible would i be able to get it off you. ill pm you my details, thanks
