I actually did google it but you have to apply for a specific job. I was just hoping to send in my c.v. in the hope that there may be a position for me in a specific department.

So if they offered you the Janitors job would you take it? Or do you think you would be more suited to junior vice president?

Most likely Junior Vice President i'd imagine. No seriously though I saw a job advertised for them and when I went to apply for it it just came up "sorry this job has been filled" so I just thought I'd send them my c.v to have on file or something. Thanks for that.

Yep was just about to suggest this.

There were two long discussions regarding working at Google a few months back. Worth a read!

Was that a jobs website? They often don't take down jobs which have been filled and they're just automatically renewed every day. Best bet is to look on Google's website only. If you want to apply on spec, do you know anyone in there? I've heard the best way of sending unsolicited CVs to Google is to have them referred to HR by someone in there. But make sure to specify which type of area you'd like to work in - they're quite adamant about that apparently.

Just from talking to people I work with who have had worked with google in the past. It is a good company to work for as long as you dont mind work becoming your like. They try their hardest to get employees to stay as long as possible any given day etc. Just from what I have heard I wouldn't work their.
Also they have a fairly intense interview process, depending on the level of the job you are looking at up to 7 interviews to get the job.
