............I might just do that, probably on Sun or Mon though as we'll be driving straight to the hotel after work on Friday. We'll be going to Birr on Sunday for an overnight.

PM me and let me know where you are roughly !

I'll be in the 280SE Coupe BTW !

Got other plans for the weekend unfortunately.

Are there any other shows in Munster worth attending later in the summer?

There's a red Gordon Keeble in those pics, reg AZH 44. Is that an original Irish car? AFAIK, only 100 of them were ever built.

According to the GK website its actually chassis number/production number 44 as well...

The reg. doesn't come up on Cartell, but it does have a Irish tax/insurance disc in the window.

Weird that the reg doesnt come up, its an april 1979 dublin reg,so im guessing it was imported around then to ireland.

That'd be 44 AZH - AZH 44 would be around right for an original Irish reg

Show was very enjoyable, had a good mix of vintage and also had the souped up VWs as an added attraction.
:D Saw two toyota "boy racers" performing a fancy twirl and skid on the way in with many spectators around. However well done to the steward who pursued them vigorously and showed them the exit immediately. They looked quite sheepish as they drove back out through the crowd at 5 mph. This is the only way to put manners on these guys !

    .............cheeky !

I'll have you know that I drove to Galway, all around Galway, back through Portumna and onn to Birr, and back to Dublin, never opened the bonnet and it never skipped a beat !

It was in fact the subject of dozens of photos along the way. I should have charged for them...............then again the stunning blond girl in Galway who was half naked kind of made up for it ! :D

The Limerick Show looked good !

    Haha!
In relation to that Gordon Keeble.

Correct me if I'm wrong but McCairns Motors were the agent for them and as far as I know Mr. McCairns personal car was a Gordon Keeble, I wonder if it was it?

.....................makes sense, perhaps we'll see it at another show and gain some info. It looks like the owners details are on the card displayed in the windscreen !
