Night Watch&Day Watch Boxset

Today I bought the Special Edition 2-disc boxset of Night Watch and Day Watch. I had been looking forward to owning these dvds for ages and finally came to the oppurtunity when, to my disgust, I discovered that the theatrical subtitles were not included on either, yes, either of the DVDs. The only reason I purchased these is to be as blown away by the subtitles as I had been at my local cinema.

I am severely disappointed. Any boardsies know where I can get a copy with the subtitles or even if any exist?

I was very disappointed when I found out the Day Watch DVD had no crazy subtitles :( Had held off it in the cinema, and after hearing so many good things about the subs, was really looking foward to the DVD. Spent around 10 minutes trying out all the subtitles to see if I could get them to work. No joy.

Are both movies dubbed bogman? and if so what's the dubbing like? shame about the subtitles though...

The single version of Night Watch has the cool subtitles, the special edition anyway. I can't remember off the top of my head if Day Watch has any.

I have both, bought singely, and the dubbing is quite good. I haven't watched with the subtitles though...

They're kind of animated, they look like blood. Really stylish.

Only the theatrical version of Night Watch has the subs, I think it's disc 2 of the DVD. I'll dig it out later and let you know. I had preordered Day Watch on R1 DVD months in advance as my local cinema won't show subtitled films. The day it was posted I discovered that a cinema a half hours drive away was showing it so I made my way up and had one of the most enjoyable cinema going experiences of my life. 4 days later I had the DVD and much to my disappointment it didn't hae the animated subs. I smell a d2 disc special edition in the works.

I don't like the subbing. I just think it sounds cheesy. With Nightwatch you can only have it in Russian with the crappy english subtitles.
