Someone off their face on yokes are more likely to tell you they love you and hug you to death in fairness.

Those were the days! Nowadays you'd have to take 6 Es to get that kinda buzz.

I don't know Misty, theres still a lot of love going around these days.

Seal, Is it dance music without pills that your lookin for?? Or is it just the skangers that your not too fond of?

In fairness, your more likely to get smashed up by someone on the powder than the pills, Which kind of rules out most places in town.

If you just like dance music then head to Tripod. If you can live with every second person askin for pills, its actually quite good in there. Not too many bogey's in it.

Ah, but a lot of peoples these days are on BZP and TFMPP, the legal party pills. They're not the same. Not bad either but for a special occasion I'd prefer the real deal.

If you had a manky comedown, worse than usual, then you probably were on them

There was a time when I would have agreed wholeheartedly with you. I wasn't getting any effect from the party pills while my husband would be outta his mind.

Until I hit upon a brand that actually did work for me. Ironically, these did very little for my "other three-quarters". I've heard similiar stories from all over. Pill A works for some, Pill B for others, Pill C ... et cetra, et cetra. It's a case of "trial and error" to find the pill, or couple of pills, that work for you.

Although I reiterate, for a special occasion I would prefer the real deal. A big ole bag of Methylene Dioxy Meth Amphetamine.

Misty Cheese does not condone the consumption of drugs by anyone
(That'd mean there'd be less left for her)

This Friday at the Weird Scientist sees legend Phil Kieran head a savage lineup in two rooms at McGruders Friday.

We are delighted to announce guests Electronic Ireland and representatives from Nice & Nasty Records having their own room this Friday and will be doing their best to outdo each other for our listening pleasure. A headline line up on its own and not to be missed!

    Electronic Ireland:
    MIKE MCCOY
    PAUDI AHEARN
    KEVIN O'SHEA

    Nice & Nasty:
    DAGHAM
    REMLAB
    BALMER

If this wasn't enough we then have the main Scientist room for you to deal with!
We kick off at ten bells with Barry Greaves from Automated Music and Hospital followed by one of the most exciting duo's in Dublin at the moment DRTboX. Check out http://www.myspace.com/drtboxmusic for a preview of their particular brand of banging dance floor fillers.
If this wasnt enough, our resident head Scientist is going to take the reigns prior to our headliner.
Miller has been blowing audiences away with a string of stomperific performances in our main room of late and is one of the only talents we could think of to do justice to the final support slot.

Our guest this Friday, as the headline says, is none other than dance legend PHIL KIERAN.
Phil's particular brand of Techno/Electronica is the epitome of the sound as a club the Weird Scientist stands for and we cant wait for him to take the stage Friday for his ONLY gig in Dublin this summer.

    oh, and check this out:
Phil Kieran is switching gears again. After three years of almost total dedication to his critically acclaimed Alloy Mental project, the Belfast DJ and producer is back to doing what he does best, making his own distinctive brand of dance music. Kieran has dug out the old techno gems , reflected on early influences like Joy Division and Aphex Twin, tipped his hat to newcomers like Marc Houle and Audion, and set to work on producing a catalogue of sure-fire dancefloor killers, for offer over the coming months.

So if this tweaks your interest, access to both rooms and the rest of the unique venue that is McGruders of Thomas Street write down the following details and we'll see you Friday!

    Doors: 10pm Admission: €15

McGruders of Thomas Street (five minutes walk from Christ Church, 100m short of James Gate, 123 bus goes right by the door if your saving your energy for the dance floor)

He's looking for commercial trance, whats playing at The Weird Scientist is NOT the same kind of music!

Realsitically to hear Tiesto and Oakenfold tracks, you'd want a teenage disco :P. Letrik's the biggest (mostly) trance night in the city, its every month or so, not a weekly occurance.

I'll second that. At the Justice concert in Phoneix Park me and the long haired hippies beside me constantly had the most dodgy looking folk coming up to us and giving us hugs and big sloppy kisses.

Compare this with the actions of a drunk d4 bitch. She was really abusive and demanded yolks from me. She called me a liar when I said I had none. If I wasn't a gentleman I would have given her a roundhouse kick to the face.

Be warned though what goes up must come down. I wouldn't like to be around a group of "nacks" or whatever you call them while they were coming down.

Those party pills are dreadful. The high is uncomfortable at best, and the comedown is pure hell.

Many Es are contaminated with BZP these days. The "Rockets" that were doing the rounds a while ago were some sort of piperazine and mcpp. Apart from being god-awful and having nasty nasty effects they were downright dangerous.

    So I hear...

They're generally so debilitated by it so as to be virtually incapacitated from doing anything other than lying in the dark, from my experience of being around it :D

I'm usually "the one driving" at any kind of event/party where people might be partaking...

That skanky come down feeling is usually reserved for the after party, cabbaged on someones sofa. If your out on a mad one in a club, you just keep topping up. The horror show is when you go home or back to a party. So Iv'e been told.....

Forget drugs, what you guys need is 100% pure Mi-Wadi cordial! Gives you a great buzz, cheap, legal and no comedown after it (provided you eat Monster Munch!) :)
