No Signal Quality Or Strength, But I Still Have Certain Channels!!

    Sky News, BBC1, Setanta Ireland and LFC TV, Film F/+1 all come in grand...even though I have no LOCK, No Strength and No Quality!!!

    Any ideas people??

    I just got new cable and New LNB, but have not had the chance to fix them in place yet thanks to rain.:(

    Surely, whilst you were here, you could have dropped a few suggestions OTHER than that.

    Mods may merge at their leisure. I didn't want to dig up old stuff as I thought it might get ignored.

    I concur with Tony, theres a lot of problems happening with this subscribers setup, maybe he needs a housecall from a fitter

    Signal and Quality is the "default transponder", not the ones that work.

    On a Sky box you need service menu and manual tuning to see arbitary transponders.

    There is obviously a problem. Change coax and/or LNB. There was no need to start a new thread.

    You want to see what *I* would charge!

    Tony is mainly a retailer and compared with typical Irish based ones actually very reasonable and far more knowledgeable. Mind you the guy in my local Maplin (who knows also more than more sales floor help) eventually realised there was little milage in helping people buying from Aldi & Lidl :)
