    Hey all,

Im going to Eindhoven soon and need to find a hostel (tougher to find online than I thought it'd be) to stay in and if theres any coffee shops nearby??

    Thanks

http://www.budgethotel.nl/ This is the only hostel I could find in the city centre
http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/Directory.html I found this site which has every coffee shop in Holland. I thought it was only in the Dam!

they are called stay okay hostels in the Netherlands and I think the nearest one is in Masstricht, better city better pot"coffee" shops. Just jump on the train Heavan 69 a personal recommendation. Love that cheap Ryanair flight, now spend the money on a hotel you cheap bastard!

Not sure theres a hostel in eindhoven, place is boring, theres one noticible coffee shop on the main bar strip, personally oif i were yopu i'd get the train to the dam, its only about 40 mins away and a million times better than eindhoven!

I've stayed in both Amsterdam and Eindhoven. I actually preferred Eindhoven, it doesn't have the mad drug scene like Amsterdam, but its much safer, much more relaxed and the locals are very friendly. Personally I couldn't stand the Dam, it was bloody hard work in the summer, constantly turning down crack and watching your handbag. Eindhoven was a welcome break! Unfortunately I was staying with someone I knew there at the time so I can't recommend anywhere to stay. Its not the most exciting place in the world, but we had great fun, some really nice restaurants and nice chilled out bars with great local beers. There are cafes, not as many as in the Dam, not as obvious, but happily not stuffed full of Irish and English lads off their chops either.
