I have one question regarding the setup i have. I wouldnt be exactly an expert, but if i bought a fender squier guitar with a fender amp in a deal worth 350 euro, which i did! does that mean that my guitar and amp are probably pretty poor quality?

Not necessarily, Squier make some pretty decent guitars, my friend has one and its pretty hard to tell the difference between it and my Mexican Fender. The amp might not be too great if its a Squier though.

It all really depends on what model Squier, and amp. You cold have bagged a very nice guitar, but we can't really say based on the info you've given.

If you're a beginner you probably won't be able to tell the difference between good and bad quality gear so don't look at the guitar thinking "It's crap" ;).

I've played some decent Squiers and some crappy ones but all of them were more than suitable for a beginner's first guitar.

I'd go for the squire standard series, and shop around as i found the quality varied, but they are very nice guitars and will serve you well. I've had a squire Telecaster for 6 years and i still play it. It does have a few mods though, but it plays well aand is balanced and generally a great guitar for the cash. I couldn't have asked for more really.
