Shipping Cars Internationally

    hey there,
    i recently moved to australia but have my vw golf sitting at home.
    i was thinking of selling it but cant find the buyers for it.
    so now im thinking of shipping it over to aus depending on how much its going to cost et.
    im based in brisbane
    can anyone tell me the procedures for doing this and the cheapest way to do it???????

    I think you have to hire a shipping container, it costs a few grand i believe.

    Container would probably be one of the cheapest options. Just make sure the car is properly secured inside it, though

    Was talking to someone a while ago who was thinking of shipping a car to Sydney. Bearing in mind that a fair bit of alcohol was consumed that night, I have a vague idea the figure mentioned was under 2k - somewhere around 1500.

    If you have other stuff to move down, you might also be able to pack the car with it.
