    Cartronics come highly recommended.

Have you tried a Toyota dealer? They'll know what they can do, how much it will cost and how long it will take. They'll possibly, but probably not, be able to put in a tilt and slide version rather than just a tilt one! Anyway, you might be surer of a good job there, and at least have comeback if it leaks.

I've had Autoglaze fit quite a few for me and I never had a problem.

Most dealers will not have the equipment to do this type of work so will farm it out to a local company that specialises in it. And the quality of work will be the same as going directly to them yourself.

As a matter of interest what would the average cost of such a job be? (obviously every model is different but a ballpark figure would be useful)

Just to point out that it will cost €€€€s and will add pretty much nothing to the value of the car... So it's dead money (IMO).

Can see the appeal though. It is a pity sunroofs are becoming so rare on new cars, even hi-spec ones. The stealers try to pawn off Climte Control as a substitute but there's no substitute for an open roof sometimes. And personally I don't like dried-out air-conditioned environments...

My guess is that it would cost between €800 to €1,200 maybe for an electric one but can depend on the car and type of sunroof in question. Obviously a basic tilt only manual opening sunroof would be alot cheaper than an electric tilt and slide sunroof with a blind.

not worried about adding value. just like a sunroof. they are getting rare.cabriolets dont make sense but a sunroof can be opened even on a cool day

    Couldn't agree more.

I'd say you're hitting the ball park there alright. My father in law was in the same position as the OP about 5 years ago. He loved his car (Peugeot 406) and he had an electric sunroof fitted (can't remember where) for €700
