So my 21st is this Saturday and I still havent got a cake organised, so this is where u lot come in. Where can I get an amazing chocolate fudge cake made in Dublin, best bakeries etc??? Any help would be appreciated.

I've gotten a good few lovely cakes from superquinn, you can get whatever written on them too.

Yeah the Superquinn chocolate fudge is lovely. Also Thunders bakery in Drumcondra seems quite popular.

Happy Birthday and enjoy the night.

My vote goes to Superquinn's chocolate fudge cake too, it's amazing and it comes in 2 sizes. I'd get the large one, it costs around €15.

Theres a person in "Its a bagel" in Dun Laoighre who makes the most unbelieveable chocolate fudge cake. You can ring the store and order one (i did). At least you could a year ago. They were huge and vey rich. Would feed loads of people. It only cost €25 or so if I recall.

To be honest I think you'll get better replies in the Dublin forum....

The three votes for the Superquinn chocolate fudge cake doesn't do it for you?

I've had choccy fudge cake from bakeries that didn't taste half as good as Superquinn's. It's moist and sticky :)
They have their own in-house bakery anyway, though you're cutting it a bit fine if you want anything special added to the cake decoration for this weekend.

+1 for the Superquinn fudge cake. I'd also recommend Marks and Spencers do some lovely chocolate cakes.

You're leaving it a bit late IMO, but try these guys:

    Patisserie Royale
    Unit E21
    South City Business Park
    Whitestown Way
    Tallaght
    Dublin 24

    Phone 462 9120

Every significant party my family has had for the last 7-8 years they've done the cake for, including my brother's wedding cake and my 40th birthday cake, both of which were amazing chocolate fudge cakes. I'm not sure if they sell to the general public, my father did a lot of business with them which is how we came to know them, but they're well worth a try.
