True True, I suppose its harsh of me to say meh, but Beckhams goal against Wimbledon all those years was magical.

Why is one better than the other.

Both shots from distance, into an empty net.

simple really, because one came from relatively unknown "common" footballer who everyone loves to see doing well and the other came from football superstar who is easy to hate

McCanns is better because everyone knows Beckham is well capable of it while most Bohs fans will have been in shock to see a bad excuse for a footballer do something right.

The only difference is that the first commentator is a lot better.

i think beckham was under less pressure, had more time to steady himself too. easier chance for him imo.

Both goals didn't have an affect on the outcome of the game though!

    Beckham still plays football? :p

It's the kind of goal the yanks paid their 25 million a year (or whatever) for. It's the kind of goal Americans will love. I don't know what the keeper was at, but it was a ... neat goal.

Lots of keepers do it when their team is losing - i'm sure I have seen van der Sar doing it.

Ok, just to clarify: I knew what the keeper was doing, it was just my way of saying it was the keeper's fault. I'll try to be less obtuse in future.

Cant really blame the keeper. If a keeper goes up for a corner at the end of the game, the manager would have instructed him to do so.

Has anyone even seen a situation like that were the keeper ends up scoring ?

Era i suppose under the circumstances it wasn't so bad, end of the game and behind so nothin to lose really, other then a slightly heavier defeat. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say!
