    hello :)
my stepdad is thinking of getting an aldi mini satellite dish, they always seem to have them in the Naas store.

We currently have Sky digital, and the parents are wondering about the channels. i took a gander here http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html
and theres a good lot of channels, have no idea myself about satellite, we had it a few years bak, but only got german stations.

    any help would be great.

The Sky dish will be pointing at 28 east so you don't need another dish. It will be better than the mini dish. A proper FTA receiver would be best for picking up the free to air channels listed in the link but there is a facility on the Sky box for adding additional channels.

I think a few years back you may have had a dish pointing to Astra 1 (19.2 east) and this would explain the German stations. You want 28 east for the channels in your link and the Sky dish will already be pointing there.
