    Hi,
I am thinking of purchasing a 30D on the net from another country.

If there is a problem with it will I have a warranty and where would the camera need to be sent/ brought to for repair.

    Thanks.

Also: Is the standard warranty usually on 12 months on these?

For warranty, you would generally have to send it back to the store you bought it from.

Yes, 12 months is standard for the camera body.

Get a Mack warranty. Mack offers 3 or 5 year international extended warranty for new cameras and 1 year warranty for used cameras. It is better than a Canon warranty and can be used worldwide, regardless of where you buy.

Never heard of Mack before. I think i'd prefer a known brand tbh.

Mack is quite well known tbh, I'd have no worries going with them

Mack are perfectly safe. All reputable "foreign" sellers provide them. Most notably, here, Kea-Photo. I have 7 year warranties on some of my L lenses bought in B&H in New York. Cant get more reputable than them.

I was reading Mack website. Note that you have to buy their warranty within 30-days of your gear purchase date.

    I'd say tbh I will get a used 30D.

What lens would be good for someone who want's to take photos of lots of different things?

    Cheers.
