FOllowing on from a thread below about 6 month private prescription and difference for a GMS... does anyone know why GMS repeats are for 3 months while an S1B medicine on a private script can be repeated for up to 6 months?? Just curious :)

The GMS probably doesn't want people obtaining more drugs than they actually need on cost grounds - I presume the drugs in question are safe enough for 6 months of repeat prescriptions.
