Building my first HTPC

Here's what I've put in my shopping cart so far:

    Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H, AMD 690G+SB600, HDMI, Socket-AM2, m-ATX, DDR2, PCI-Ex16
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz Socket AM2 512KB, BOXED
Antec Fusion 430, Black, 430w PSU, HTPC, Micro ATX, aluminium front bezel
    Samsung SpinPoint S166 160GB SATA2 8MB 7200RPM
    OCZ Platinum DDR2 PC6400 4096MB KIT, w/two 2048MB PC6400 XTC, CL5-5-5-4
    Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110, USB/PS2, keyboard/mouse, Retail
LG DVD±RW burner, GH20NS20, 20x, SATA, Black, OEM

    Total cost - €465 + shipping.

I'll be mounting an NFS share from my main PC for streaming rather than having them locally - hence the 160Gb drive. And I've bought a PVR-350 on ebay already - that's on its way to me.

Any comments - am I forgetting anything?

    OS?
    Anti-static strap?

I have a very similar spec almost ready to build - everything has arrived except the case - should have it by Monday.

Looks good. I am planning on getting that exact board for a little project I have ongoing in this area as it's incredibly well spec'd for its price. I'd be very keen to hear back from you on your progress with it. If you were able to check the power consumption I'd be really grateful as I'm planning on the putting the board into a silverstone ml02 case which only comes with a 120W power supply. :)

If there's any help you need on the myth side of things, feel free to holler.

    A.

I really can't see a 120W cutting it - look at http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html. Even selecting lowend stuff on that is over 200W.

    Oh god... Where to start..

    Fail
    Fail
    Fail
    Oh, and some more fail

You would honestly be better of buying a cheap dell, which will have more of everything, and a screen and a operating system installed. Or even... You could build a better and faster pc for less money. Check out the B&U forum.

    *edit*

Ignore the power rating bollix.... Nvidia say i cant run tri-sli on anything less then 1.2kw... Well i managed it on 620w with 6hdds attached. Its not the Wattage your should be looking for, but the voltage on the rails !

Point out a Dell that has a HDMI port onboard. And that ships with MythTV pre-installed on any flavour on Linux. And that ships with a 32" HD TV.

This is not a desktop pc - it's a HTPC.

Sorry to ruin your ego trip dude, but where in your above post did you mention there is a hdmi port and a 32" tv thrown in ?

Next time, before you decide to be a cocky little shíte, come with some ammo..

    Fo shizzle.
