I nearly crashed the car today. I went by the garage on the quays in Dublin and I normally look at the price of petrol to see have they put it up and how high it is now. They have been selling at 179.9 for a good while now.

The price of petrol was 123.9!!! What is happening? That is actually competitive. Anyone know? New management?

I saw it as well. Must have changed hands as it has been rebranded and the petrol is really cheap. I buy petrol at discount fuel deals in tallaght, but even they are dearer than that. Only I was in the wrong lane today on the quays, I would have pulled in there and then.

I wouldnt go near that petrol station for another few months until they clear their pumps. It was so expensive people simply avoided the place, all the fuel in the tanks would have gone stale and contaminated with water from the very slow turn over. .

pretty much all cop and ambulance veh-ickles filled there so i'm assuming the petrol wasn't just sitting there.

we could nearly start a sub-forum for this petrol station, think it's like the third thread in as many days.

Lads, the franchise recently came up for renewal and the company that owned the franchise stated that they wouldn't allow the same people to renew. I can only assume that they stuck to their word and someone else is now running the place. Either that or there are new clauses in the franchise agreement to control the price...

Petrol isn't quite £1.23 over here (UK) yet (£1.15.9 at the moment :() but Diesel is currently at £1.27.9/litre as of today :( That's about 1 euro 54 cent per litre...

Its €1.44 in Moycullen now for diesel so not bad at all when you take road tax and VRT into consideration.

A local garage is selling diesel at 1.47 (I think). I presume they aren't selling much of it!

And there was clowns using the place

Drive 5 mins down the road to a Texaco and the diesel is 7c cheaper and the petrol 10c, some people really dont help the situation
