Travel Insurance Valid in Ireland?

Hi I took out a 1 year travel insurance for a trip last year. It's still valid now. Anyway my car was broken into (whilst in Dublin - I live in Dublin) and some things taken. The question is will my travel insurance cover it? Thanks M

The devil will be in the detail of the policy, but I doubt it; travel insurance generally only covers travel outside of the country - it's not a theft insurance policy...

You might have been covered within Ireland if you had accomodation booked in advance, otherwise they are unlikely to belive that you had actually travelled anywhere.
