    Hi folks,
We've just got Sky plus in the last couple of months and as a concept we're finding it teriffic, don't know how we've lived without it etc, what's worrying me at he moment is that the box occasionally flashes "no channel being received" then shows the selected channel but even worse it the fact that with increasing frequency when selecting the EPG we get "searching for listings" that just stays on until we reboot the box. This initially happened just once or twice but we've had about four in the last week or two.(signal strength on the boxes two receivers are about 75 and 90% with additional box from Quad LNB about 80%)
    My questions are:
    1.Should I be worried.
    2. Is this normal.
3.Is this possibly a faulty box.

Never mind the Signal Strength, what's the Signal Quality like? This is the more important value.

Could there be trees in the line of sight, which were leafless and slightly smaller when the dish was installed?

    Thanks for replys,

Signal quality is 90% on Sky plus input 1 and flicks between 80 and 90% on input 2, additional box seems to have constant 80%. There is a slim possibility the very tip of a tree could be in line of sight but its so borderline that I'll have to climb a ladder and look along the LNB line from dish to be sure. Is the slight flucuation on input 2 normal or a sign of something else amiss.

    Thanks again,
    Brendan.

The dish is actually point upwards nearly 20 degrees more than it appears as the LNB is offset at the bottom (Imagine a mirrored dish and a laser /spot lamp where the LNB is).
