I use firefox because I find it fast and reliable and I'm used to it. I'm just wondering what other mac users use and why.

I use Firefox as I just prefer the layout of it... and I have to use a lot of PCs as well so it's handy to jump from Firefox on one platform to Firefox on another.

I do believe Safari has a better performance though.

    Safari

If I have several items to download I use Speed Download as it's works with Safari
    Well worth $25 imo.

Yeah, it's good. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Fast and reliable, although there's not much in the way of add-ons. It's written in Cocoa so it's a pure mac app. Uses the same rendering engine as Firefox minus the bloat. Updates are a bit sparse however.

I used to use it but lack of updates and problems with certain sites sent me back to Safari when Leopard came out.

Firefox mainly.. but Safari occassionally (mostly when testing compatibility issues with webpages I write).

I use both Firefox and Safari equally but can only vote for one ( Opera obviously :D).

    Safari.

Firefox 2 doesn't feel like a Mac app.

Firefox 3, while admittedly still in the (late) testing phase is better but still has a few annoying quirks (smooth scrolling has this weird "momentum" and non-smooth scrolling is too jerky; the zoom button behaves like a Windows maximise button which drives me mad; still doesn't use the Keychain).

Camino is a fantastic browser in almost all respects - and it beachballs a heck of a lot less than Safari. Unfortunately the non-draggable tabs are annoying, and the fact that I've been unable to find a way to selectively block Flash makes it a non-runner (I know Safari can't do this by default either, but the free SafariStand plugin can).

I've never been a fan of Opera and OmniWeb's tabs took up too much space on my Macbook. Plus I don't want to pay for a browser.

    WebKit.... Acid3 compliant, stable, fast....very fast...sweet

for certain things I use Camino though.

Been using Camino for a month or so now and i'm liking it better than most other browsers. I was an Opera user until it freaked out and ate my bookmarks, in my frustration i turned to Camino and it works for me :)

Simple, quick and easy to use.

The only gripe i have with it is if you try to change a filename of a file you're downloading, it automatically selects the whole thing and renames it. Nothing to get steamed about but it's the only problem i have.
