Nokia N95 Firmware

Trying to update the firmware for my phone. Version 20 is out but my phone is on version 12 and the auto update wont install anything higher.
Probably because of this Why is Nokia Software updater not showing me the latest firmware verion you have listed here?
Your phone has a different product code from the generic vanilla handset codes used by Nokia. When firmwares are released, they are not released for all phone variants at the same time as some networks brand their phones to their networks. It takes them longer to release these specialist firmwares.

Can I use a different product code to upgrade my phone or is this bad for it? Was on O2 but now on Meteor.

which 95 is it? standard or 8gb?

you can change the product code quite easily, and it wont harm your phone, but if ever the phone needs to be repaired nokia may give you hassle if the product codes dont match. just make sure you change it back if need be.

i updated my firmware after changing my phones product code to scandinavia.

It's the regular one. Any idea where I can get a product code to let me update?

you need to download a program called nss if memory serves and use it to change the code. just google the product codes.
