Has anyone tried this. Does it work or are you better off keeping your €30 in your pocket.

Keep your money. Buy some shoes instead.

They will make you far happier in the long run.

    None of these things work.

They give the illusion of working, be it through water reduction ( which you regain) so the only way is excercise, eating right, drinking water, etc etc.

(I'm an expert cos I do NONE of these things)

    It can be done!!!

I got a pair of red patent mary jane shoes from Heatons for the princely sum of 14 euro and every time I wear them out I get people complementing them. Makes me very happy:D

I was recently told it's not always about the cost, that sometimes you fall in love with a pair of shoes that you shouldn't and get them even if they are cheap.

    Like a man.

30 euro shoes don't make you happy, just blistered:).

OP, eat less, move more. Never fails.

uhm.. I wouldn't say so.. eat more frequently, but lesser portions. Reduce carb intake & do more exercise than needed to burn what carbs you are taking in. Then your body has to burn off fat to keep going..

eating less in general would slow your metabolism and in turn, cause an increase in weight.

    (I think)

    The boy speaks the truth.

4 to 6 meals ( small ) throughout the day.
lean proteins , veg based carbs and healthy fats.
Don't fear carbs, just don't eat too many starchy ones. You don't really need that many of them. If you do train then eat carbs before and after the gym.
Drink plenty of water, and i mean plenty. Better kidney function and clearer skin are just part of the benefits.
Don't get stressed, cortisol is not your friend. Sleep well and deeply.
Find an activity that you like doing, be it a sport, dancing, whatever and do it.
Watch the alchohol intake...too many people bitch about not losing weight while drinking with their mates in the pub.

    what diet?

cortisol will increase your blood pressure and blood suger levels. it has been linked with increased abdominal fat.
also not sleeping a full 8 hours a night has been linked with increased body fat.

before you decide that going on your diet is not worth it coz u will still be stressed it should be pointed out that you dont have to tick off everything on dragans listto lose weight thats just an ideal way to do it so dont use one part of it or aother as an excuse to not implement the rest

    im considering them
    appetite supressent apparently

Sorry but anything that claims to promote weightloss and that can be sold without doctors supervision is a short term remedy.
They more then likely will have placebo effects and will give weight loss from water loss.

Its like cosmetics, if any of the creams and potions had any effect on the cellular make-up of your skin then they'd need to be classified as medication.

You don't need to watch a Dispatches to show to realise that all these products are rubbish.

Stress: That confusion that results when the mind overrides the body's desire to choke the living **** out of some asshole who desperately needs it.

Not true, i suffer from very dry skin, and i have found 2 creams that work extremely well for me, one by dermalogica and one by la prairie!
i have tried creams that i was given by the doc and they just stung my face and made it look horribley oily!

Massive difference between a direct applied topical cream for epidermal issues and appetite suppressants though!

Dryness =lack of moisture, creams can moisturise the upper skin layers but will not change the make-up of your skin.
They can't be sold over the counter if they can.

I just found them in my house, someone dropped full packets of them and the 'pu-erh' tea that's part of the slender range up after opting to starve themselves with some kind of a weight monitor, much more expensive but detailed and strict, than weightwatchers but a similar concept. I wont be wasting money of them, so I think its worth a shot even if they dont work. :P Im just wondering about nasty side-effects myself...

So true. The one and only time I've lost a significant amount of weight (and kept it off) was when I was walking a brisk hour to and from work each day, and drinking nothing but water - and a lot of it. Took off about 15 lbs over the course of a season, without even trying.

Oh, and I was also extremely emotionally miserable at the time because of work and family illness and relationship situations. But I wouldn't recommend that last bit.

charlottemarlow - welcome to the forum :)

please have a read of the charter - it's in the sticky threads at the top of the page. It will tell you all the rules we have.

Please don't use "txt spk" here. People find it very annoying to read. Also, in future, please reply to current threads rather than dragging up threads from over half a year ago :)

    Thanks

    Xiney
