Phone available in UK but not here on O2

I was looking at getting a SE T280i phone. It is supposed to be released around now.
I checked on o2.co.uk and they have it but not on o2.ie.

Does anybody know if there's usually a time difference in releasing handsets or when it might be available?

I've emailed o2 but they've yet to reply.

Just ring O2 and ask them, or go into an O2 shop.
Sometimes the phone can be released a week or two after its released in the Uk, sometimes it can be a month or two, normally this is the case.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I just assumed it would be simultaneous.

Nope O2 Ireland and O2 UK have nothing to do with each other, as
Vodafone Ireland and Vodafone UK have nothing to do with each other. And
surprise surprise
3 Ireland and 3 UK have nothing to do with each other.

They are the same company in name only, not in sharing products
