Am I entitled to any days leave on a contract for 3 months?

    It depends on your contract. Sometimes they will allow you a pro-rata holiday allowance, so would accrue something like 1.8 days per month or something. The rolling temporary contracts I've been on before were like this.

    However if it's a 3 month fixed contract (eg. for a specific project) then they probably won't want to have you taking days off and won't have written that in.

    Check the wording of your contract, or ask the employer.

    Waiting for the contract to come in the post. All I want is 2 days off.

    It's for student job in a bank for the Summer by the way.

    c.1.67 days per month (basically the minimum holiday entitlement/12 months)

    Note that he did not say you where entitled to take those days as holidays but the amount that is being talked about. There are certain minimum requirement in working hours in a year which you will not reach to be allowed to take holidays (beyond the bank letting you because they want to on the top of my head and of course you have no rights in regards to schedule the holidays, bank's decision again etc.).

    Speak to your manager when you start working there - Its most likely that they will try to accommodate you.
